We are thrilled to announce that we have been shortlisted for a Communications Award for our expansion campaign in the AMCIS* 2022 IMPACT Awards. The awards recognise and celebrate campaigns which have made a significant impact on a school and its community.
Belmont announced its decision to expand to offer GCSEs in September 2019 and the marketing campaign, “Belmont is Expanding”, aims to raise awareness of this amongst prospective parents.
Nicki Barriball, Marketing Manager, says “We are delighted with the results of our campaign to date, which has seen our parent enquiries grow by 30% and our social media followers increase significantly. Our followers on Instagram, for example, have grown by 170%. We have seen record numbers at our Open Day events, despite the national pandemic, and we are excited about the reaction from parents to date. To be shortlisted for this national award is a huge honour and testament to the effectiveness of the campaign.”
Headmistress, Mrs Skrine, remarks “We are so pleased with the reaction from parents across the age range following our decision to extend to 16 years. By Christmas, we will have completed a significant part of our expansion project and our first set of Year 11 pupils will sit their GCSEs the following summer. The Aquileon Building will increase our facilities substantially and feedback from both new and existing parents suggest that they welcome the benefits a through school can provide, such as, continuity of ethos, education and environment. There is a further advantage that Years 6 – 8 are not dominated by preparation for online tests as pupils progress continuously through the school.”
