Mr Marc Broughton Starts As Head of Belmont

Mr and Mrs Broughton Milo

Mr Marc Broughton is delighted to have taken up position as the new Head at Belmont School having been appointed in November.  Marc, who was previously Pastoral Deputy Head at  Dunnotar School in Reigate, moved into Belmont with his wife and two daughters in August.  He succeeds Helen Skrine who retired after seventeen years in the position.

Marc comments, “In my previous appointment, I enjoyed helping to grow the school from a small single sex school to a flourishing co-educational establishment.  I am equally ambitious for Belmont to thrive across all areas of school, both inside and outside of the classroom.”

He continues, “My family and I are so fortunate to now be based in such a beautiful location in the Surrey Hills.  We are enjoying getting to know the local area and the latest edition to our family, Milo the dog, is relishing the many walks from our doorstep!  Before starting at Belmont, I was particularly impressed by the warmth of the school community, and I look forward to getting to know everyone soon.”

Prior to Dunnotar, Marc taught at Caterham School and began his teaching career at Liverpool College.
