The weather on Tuesday June 15th produced a perfect day for the annual swimming gala. This year’s heats were held in the morning where every child in Years 3 to 8 swam to try and qualify for the Finals in the afternoon. The children also gained valuable participation points swimming for their House. Every race was keenly contested and there were some exceptionally close races both in the morning and the afternoon.
Could the Lions defend their title? The answer was yes, the Lions won the gala by 39 points. Congratulations to the Lions.
Four individual records were broken this year all by Connie in Year 6. A big congratulations to Connie, a fantastic achievement.
U11 Girls backstroke Connie in a time of 24.09 seconds.
U11 Girls front crawl Connie in a time of 19.66 seconds.
U11 Girls breaststroke Connie in a time of 26.64 seconds
U11 Girls butterfly Connie in a time of 9.53 seconds.
